1. Terms of Service
1.1 About Climbinge
Climbinge allows users to browse, add, edit, and share information about climbing routes, crags, boulders, areas, grades, route types, photos, location details, and related climbing content.
"Climbinge", "we", "us", and "our" refer to the operator of the Climbinge service. "You" means any person who accesses or uses Climbinge.
1.2 Account and access
You may need an account to add routes, upload photos, save activity, or use certain features. You agree to provide accurate information and to keep your login details secure. You are responsible for activity that happens through your account.
We may suspend, restrict, or remove access if we believe you have misused the service, violated these terms, uploaded harmful content, or created risk for other users or the climbing community.
1.3 Climbing risk and safety
Rock climbing, bouldering, mountaineering, hiking, and related outdoor activities are dangerous and involve risk of injury, death, property damage, changing weather, loose rock, access restrictions, wildlife, unsafe landings, unreliable protection, incorrect grades, and other hazards.
Climbinge is an information-sharing platform. Information on Climbinge may be incomplete, inaccurate, outdated, user-submitted, or unverified. Route grades, locations, approach directions, access notes, photos, and safety information should not be treated as professional advice or a guarantee of safety.
You are solely responsible for your decisions, preparation, equipment, judgment, partners, and safety. You should verify conditions locally, follow access rules, respect landowners and communities, and climb within your ability.
1.4 User content
You may upload or submit route information, grades, descriptions, photos, comments, corrections, ticks, location information, and other content.
You confirm that you have the right to submit any content you upload. You must not upload content that is illegal, misleading, abusive, defamatory, invasive of privacy, infringing, harmful, spammy, or unsafe.
By submitting content to Climbinge, you give Climbinge a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, display, reproduce, adapt, publish, distribute, and use that content for operating, improving, promoting, and making the service available. This licence allows Climbinge to show your content to other users and to use it in route pages, maps, search, guide-like views, app features, and related promotional or community materials.
You remain responsible for the accuracy and legality of your content. We may edit, moderate, hide, or remove content where needed, including for safety, accuracy, legal, access, or community reasons.
1.5 Route data and community contributions
Climbinge may include factual climbing information such as route names, grades, route types, locations, GPS coordinates, areas, crags, descriptions, photos, and approach information.
Some content may be submitted by users or contributors. Some content may be moderated, corrected, merged, or verified over time. We do not guarantee that any route, grade, location, or access information is accurate or complete.
If you believe content is inaccurate, unsafe, infringing, or should be removed, please contact us.
